Four-wheel Drive Capabilities
All the Jeep Renegade models come with the option to choose four-wheel drive capabilities. Three of these trims are only available in four-wheel drive and include the Upland, Trailhawk, and High Altitude. The other trims have the option of choosing front-wheel drive as well.
The best four-wheel drive trim that you can choose when looking at a Renegade is the Trailhawk. It comes with a Trail Rated badge, which means that it can perform well when it encounters off-road conditions. Having a Trail Rated badge indicates that the Trailhawk has excellent traction, maneuverability, articulation, ground clearance, and water fording capabilities. The vehicle accomplishes this with a Selec-Terrain system with rock mode. Also standard with this trim are hill descent control and skid plates for the front suspension.
If you are considering some of the other Renegade trims with four-wheel drive capabilities, they aren’t Trail Rated, but they do come with a Selec-Terrain system.
Design
The Renegade is one of two vehicles in the Jeep line that gives you the option of customizing the exterior design with unique decals. Another unique design feature that is available on the Renegade is a My Sky sunroof, which comes with power-retractable and removable panels. The sunroof has two roof panels that you can remove to bring in additional fresh air and light while you are on the road. This feature is an available option on all trims except the Upland.
Limited Editions
Three trims are available with limited edition features. These include the Upland, Altitude, and High Altitude. One of the features that you will find on the Upland is a Uconnect 3 with a 5-inch touch screen display. Also available are anodized orange interior accents, a keyless Enter N’ Go, and remote vehicle start. The car also comes with 17-inch low-gloss black aluminum wheels.
The Altitude comes with high-gloss black exterior and interior accents, deluxe black cloth seats, 18-inch gloss black wheels, and a Uconnect 4 with a 7-inch touch screen. Finally, the limited edition High Altitude trim comes with 19-inch satin granite crystal painted wheels and a Uconnect 4C NAV with an 8.4-inch touch screen. The system has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, as well as navigation capabilities. The vehicle comes with premium LED lighting, Grillz accent bezels, and satin-gloss granite crystal badging. The seating is a black leather-trimmed interior with tungsten stitching.
